筆者は若き頃臼杵を訪れた際、年上の方々と共に店の暖簾をくぐる度「ゆふ定食」を注文していた。中心部の喧騒を逃れるが如き純和風レトロの綺麗で趣ある空間、体に染み渡る柔らかな肉の、濃すぎずも薄すぎず優しい味わい、実に素晴らしい。一度来店したら「臼杵＝ゆふ」という方程式が染み付く程の絶品揃い。初来店なら、ゆふ定食をお勧めする。
