関ヶ原の合戦後、初代臼杵藩主となった稲葉貞通のお目付役として同行した同家の家老・稲川家の屋敷跡。幕末の大改修を経て現在まで、竣工から400年が経つから驚き。武士達が実際に過ごした屋敷で、しっとり雅な時空間を体感できる。勿論フグコースも欠かすまい。夏/冬内容は異なれど、その絢爛豪華さ、味の素晴らしさは筆舌に尽くし難い。
